The ability to write songs that are both modern and ancient is a rare thing. The product of an arcane art of weaving in traditional influences so thoroughly that they become the warp and weft of fresh creations.
The Black Feathers, made up of Ray Hughes and Sian Chandler, are two such talents. They first became aware of the magic between them while collaborating on several musical projects, becoming The Black Feathers and life partners in 2012.

The Lobby Lounge Concert Series is a 86-cap Listening Room venue within the lobby of a convention center, The Harbor Center in Slidell, Louisiana (about 25 miles outside New Orleans). We hold monthly concerts presenting nationally-touring musicians. Plenty of free parking onsite, food & beverages available. The atmosphere has been described as "warm", "bohemian", and "intimate". Our venue has been voted best place to hear live music in East St. Tammany Parish. General admission, reserved seating, reserved tables, and reserved lounge chairs are available. Seasons are sold on Eventbrite and season subscription packages are available. There is a concert every month except for December. Follow us on Facebook (search "lobby lounge slidell").
