Too tough for folk and too blues-influenced for country, LYNNE HANSON’s brand of porch music with a little red dirt can turn on a dime from a sunshine, blue sky ballad to a full on thunderstorm of gritty Americana swamp from one song to the next. Her hard living music has garnered her the nickname “Canada’s Queen of Americana.” And while her deep, bluesy croon has drawn comparisons to Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch, it’s the poetry of her lyrics that really sets her apart.

Outdoor shows: May-September in our large yard. Bring your own lawn chairs and snacks and beverages. In case of rain, we will move to the screened-in sun porch. In case of high heat, we will be in the air conditioned living room.
Indoor shows: in the living room, limited to 25 people. Light potluck before the show. Beer and wine are welcomed.
While our artists are mostly acoustic musicians, the shows will be lightly amplified to ensure everyone can hear.

Our home occupies space on the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary lands of the Peoria, Fox, Potawatomi, and Anishinabewaki peoples. We are grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to steward this land in their absence. We hope to honor their legacy by sustainable, non-toxic, and loving land and wildlife habitat management.
